I'm in France! My flight from Denver to Chicago was delayed, which made for a very tight connection in Chicago, but I made it. I am so tired. Wow. Ok, so after I landed in Paris, I followed a bunch of signs to connecting flights. I somehow bypassed customs and immigration. Right near my connecting flight gate though, there was a border patrol station that stamped my passport. I've been awake for 25 hrs how. Ahh. Ok one last thing before I nap. I went grocery shopping at Carrefour and it's so cool how they don't have bags. Cool for people who aren't backpacking :) I just had to awkwardly carry some groceries. I bought 1 yogurt, but I don't have a spoon, so what I did was take the wax from a babybell cheese (which I got 6 of) and make a little dipper our of it. Wow ok nap time.... I just took an hour nap and was so confused about what day and time it was when I woke up. I went to the pharmacy and got little scissors. They are actually baby's nail scissors, because those were the cheapest. Then, I kept walking to check out the Gare (train station). I walked inside the train station just to make sure trains do to to St. Jean Pied de Port. They do. I walked along the river for a bit and down some streets. I was planning on eating out for dinner, but dinner is not till later here and I just wanted to eat and go to bed. I went in this bakery sandwich place where I could just point. I got this baguette with ham, swiss and lettuce. I was going to eat outside or walk, but it is so hot, so I am now in my air conditioned hotel room eating a sandwich. It's quite lovely actually. Oh I forgot to mention how long it took me to figure out how to use the key to my door. The key only comes out when the door is locked, so you have to like open the door, then re-lock it in the air to remove the key, then bring the key inside, close the door, unlock it to get it to close, then re-lock it to get the key out. Actually pretty smart and not that complex, but after 24 hours of travel, it was so confusing. Avoir, Briannah.
